History of Maruti Suzuki Gypsy:
In 1985, after the SS80 hatchback and the Omni passenger van, Maruti Suzuki offered its 3rd vehicle “Gypsy” in India. With its 970-cc engine, carburetted F10A engine the car produced a maximum power of 45 bhp and was mated to a four-speed gearbox.
Later in 1996, Maruti Esteem has added to the list and came with a sprightliness 1.0L petrol engine and captured a huge place in the Indian market. After a decade, Maruti introduced the Millenium engine cars with a fuel injection system following stricter emission norms produced by the government. And after a glorious inning of 33 years in the Indian market, the car was discontinued in March 2019.
